Your Mum was never really about anyone's mother. It was pure social currency. The wit was in the delivery, not the meaning - thrown fast, thrown loud, end of conversation. It didn't need to make sense. A lot of the time it never made sense. It just needed to land.
The retort that was often forgotten in seconds is now permanent.
