Original artwork (1/1)
About the work
Three Uno 6 cards; green, red, blue - mounted on tempered glass that has been shattered and stabbed, set into a frame buried under layer upon layer of black and red spray paint, acrylic, and clear coat. The surface is thick, dark, textured. Chunks and smears of paint over more paint. A sheet of clear glass sits, painted at the front, sealing else everything inside.
Underneath all the paint, underneath the clear coat and the frame glass - the tempered glass is punchered and broken. The number on each card is 6. There are three of them. Family "fun" indeed. Anyone who has played games with their family knows why this piece exists.
"Sometimes the nicest of games brings out the worst in us." - Adam Noakes
